Electronic logbook

Usually, security staff log incidents by hand. This is a time-consuming process that often involves duplication of effort, and can lead to potentially critical errors in reporting.

At ADR Security, we saw a need to help security staff out with a better way of logging incidents. So we developed our e-Log security communication logbook - an electronic system that allows security staff to easily log incidents and print a report. Incidents are automatically time and date stamped, and the history is fully searchable and exportable, not only saving time and money, but also minimising paper wastage.

The e-Log is already used successfully by Monash University across 8 campuses, with around 150,000 incidents in their database. The system allows multiple simultaneous logins, with separate user access levels per operator. It's available as part of an installation contract with ADR, or can be purchased as a standalone product.

AV Protector (Patent pending)

Valuable devices like computers and projectors are often protected by vibration detectors or reed switches. There are three critical problems with these devices: they set off frequent false alarms (to the point that staff begin ignoring the alarm), they are easily circumvented by thieves who know what they are doing, and they are not electronically connected to the equipment.

ADR saw a need for something better, so we developed the AV Protector. This device utilises a monitored cable that physically plugs into devices such as projectors or LCD monitors. If the device is unplugged, an alert is set off. Because the cable is easily concealed, it is much less obvious to a potential thief. What's more, during trials at Monash University, staff have experienced no false alarms.
